More than 5400 have been tested for COVID-19 in Yolo County

The latest numbers from the Yolo County Health Department show more than 5,400 people got tested for COVID-19 during the first three weeks of operations at the Yolo County fairgrounds in Woodland. West Sacramento residents and anyone living in Yolo County can get tested for free at the fairgrounds.

Appointments are available Tuesday-Saturday 7am-7pm and can be made through this website: http://lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling (888) 634-1123.

COVID-19 testing will continue in Woodland through the end of May, then will transition to West Sacramento in June if not sooner.

Pharmacy Testing

Capitol Pharmacy on Harbor and West Capitol Ave is also offering COVID-19 testing through the end of the month.

This effort is through the US Health and Human Services Agency to do self administered COVID19 testing through retail pharmacies. The times are limited to 10-2 M-F and capacity is 25-35 per day.The test collectors are in full Personal Protective Equipment.

Test results should be available within 3-5 days.

This is a pilot program and if there is strong interest it may be extend into June.
