3/24/20 Update: City Urges Park Gatherings to Cease

Post Date:03/24/2020 8:12 AM

Please Limit Activity in City Parks

Residents are advised that group sports, picnics, barbeques, and other outdoor group gatherings in City parks or other locations are disallowed under the Yolo County Public Health Official’s order to shelter in place.  Also, public restrooms in parks with playgrounds have been closed, and people should refrain from the use of playgrounds.  We implore all West Sacramento residents to follow the Public Health Official’s order and continue to practice social distancing in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  Thank you for your cooperation and please share this information.

Essential Businesses Are Open

Mayor Christopher Cabaldon explains that if essential businesses are open, you are permitted to visit them. Obtaining or delivering services or supplies that are necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation and operation of residences, like getting food, consumer products, etc are allowed.
